WEATHER AND CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event of adverse weather or unplayable field conditions, The Athena Lacrosse LLC administration, Park and Field Officials reserves the right to: • Cancel games, Clinics, leagues practices and/or remaining schedule in their entirety. • Reduce times in order to maintain playing time • Finish before inclement weather arrives, or to preserve field conditions. • Reschedule, if possible. Every attempt will be made to update cancellations as soon as possible. However, weather conditions can change rapidly and all players should be prepared to play as soon as weather and fields are playable. If thunder or lightning is observed, play will be suspended immediately and players and fans will be asked to leave the fields to return to cars. Play will be allowed to resume 20 minutes after the last sound of thunder or sighting of lightning is observed which will be determined by the Athena staff. Liability Release and Certificate of Insurance Requirements Liability Release: We (“Registered Player, Staff and Members”) hereby release and discharge Athena Lacrosse LLC,Local park systems, and the US Lacrosse organization, its officers, coaches, sponsors, and representatives from any and all obligations and/or liability resulting from accidents, injuries, or otherwise occurring as a result of participation in or attendance at Athena lacrosse events. All players must be registered with US Lacrosse, and it is the exclusive responsibility of the coach to obtain and provide a certificate of insurance. Once your player is registered with US Lacrosse you can request a certificate of insurance from Bollinger Insurance at http://www.bollingerlax.com/ REFUND POLICY – Is only effective in the event of a cancellation by a Player within 2 weeks prior to date of the Athena Lacrosse event. 1. No Player will receive a full refund. Partial refunds will be issued if the Athena Lacrosse Event is canceled in whole. 2. No refunds will be issued if the event is shortened in part for any reason, including inclement weather or any other “Act of God.” 3. No refund for any player that is expelled / removed from the event by the Director’s for using un-sportsman like behavior that requires the player removed from the event. Spectators also need to respect the Staff and the Players. Bad behavior will not be tolerated. Should Staff or Directors deem a spectator or player needs to be removed from the site(s) of the event, it will be the responsibility of the Athena Administrative staff.Athena Administrative staff reserve the right to cancel, shorten, or reschedule practices, clinics, leagues, try-outs or any other event, due to inclement weather, poor field conditions, or player and fan safety concerns. Athena Lacrosse LLC and staff will not be responsible for any expenses incurred by any player or spectator if the event is canceled in whole or in part. Athena Lacrosse LLC Administrators, and staff reserve the right to decide on all matters pertaining to the operation of the event and its judgment is final.
